  1. May 15,  · referencing Pure, CD, Album, R Many will object "Pure" is a bit of a downer, considering the energy and effort put into the group's debut masterpiece. While most songs here do heavily rely on "Lovely's" melodic sensibilities, "Pure" is by no means a flop - 4/5().

  6. The Primitives perfectly pure pop and rock album. For some reason this album is not held in as high esteem as their debut album, Lovely, but I have no idea why. While Lovely does have some lovely tunes on it, this is light years better.5/5(17).

  7. Mar 29,  · Vinyl LP BMG Ariola / PL Pure. it's hard to dislike this album. pure is filled with catchy melodies, Pure is aptly named for it is pure pop perfection. Introduced to The Primitives by the single, "Noose", a 's classic, the balance of the album does not disappoint. Pure /5(7).

  9. This album was a walkman favorite of mine back then, & while I never replaced it on CD (until now) I feel the collection of songs on the Primitives first LP easily spoke (& speaks) for itself. The songs for the most part are a breezy fuzz pop of the two minute variety, with wonderfully straightforward & /5(27).
